President El-Sisi Meets Iranian President

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, on the sidelines of the joint Arab-Islamic summit held in Riyadh.

The Spokesman for the Presidency said the two presidents exchanged views on the situation in the Gaza Strip, and courses of action to alleviate the human suffering of the Palestinians in the Strip. The President highlighted Egypt’s efforts to advance the path of truce and ceasefire, as well as its provision and delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip. The two presidents also noted the importance of not expanding the conflict in the region and maintaining regional security and stability.
