FM Holds Virtual Meeting with Egyptian Community in Saudi Arabia

On Monday, October 21, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration conducted a virtual meeting with prominent members of the Egyptian community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This meeting is part of a series of virtual engagements he holds with Egyptian communities abroad, reflecting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ commitment to maintaining regular communication and support for Egyptians living abroad.

Minister Abdelatty emphasized the Ministry’s dedication to providing comprehensive assistance to Egyptian citizens abroad. He highlighted the importance of offering all necessary consular services and fostering a connection between expatriates and their homeland. He also stressed the ministry’s efforts to ensure prompt and efficient consular services, aiming to overcome any challenges faced by Egyptians abroad. Furthermore, he noted ongoing initiatives to enhance the consular system, reducing the time required for processing transactions and making services more accessible to Egyptians living abroad.

The Foreign Minister praised the Egyptian community in Saudi Arabia for its significant role in strengthening fraternal ties with the Kingdom. He emphasized that this community contributes to enhancing relations at all levels between the Egyptian and Saudi peoples, as well as actively participating in the Saudi labor market.

Minister Abdelatty outlined the Foreign Ministry’s efforts to address the needs of Egyptians abroad, including those in Saudi Arabia. He highlighted several initiatives aimed at supporting expatriates, such as the Egyptian Cars Initiative and the Military Status Settlement Initiative.
