President El-Sisi Follows-up on Efforts to Develop Technology and Information Infrastructure
Yesterday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Amr Talaat, Head of the Armed Forces Financial Affairs Authority Lieutenant General Ahmed El-Shazly, and Director of the Signal Department of the Armed Forces Major General Bakr Al Bayoumi.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, stated the meeting followed-up on efforts to develop Egypt’s technology and information infrastructure which are made as part of the State’s strategic project for digital transformation. Moreover, the status of the construction of unified national network for emergency and public safety, linking all emergency units and facilities, such as ambulances, health care, and civil protection agencies, was also addressed.
During the meeting, President El-Sisi directed that State’s capacities in the field of communications and information technology be enhanced and the optimal operation of the emergency and public safety system be ensured. This is to ensure rapid responses of state agencies to all emergencies and crises within short periods of time. The President also stressed the importance of making the utmost efforts to facilitate the daily lives of citizens, help save their time and effort, as well as achieve the highest standards of security and safety for them.
