In particular, yesterday’s workshop, “Doing Business with AIIB: Business Opportunities”, presented AIIB’s Corporate Procurement policy, procurement process, and business opportunities for suppliers and consultants worldwide for AIIB-financed projects and corporate procurement.

A seminar on “Investing in Resilient Roads for a Better Tomorrow” delved into the critical need for climate-resilient infrastructure, particularly in the road sector. Amidst the complexities of climate change, road development is pivotal yet often contentious. The seminar aims to shed light on this issue and showcase AIIB’s dedication to financing resilient road projects that prioritize climate considerations.

The participants explored decision-making frameworks for financing resilient roads through interactive discussions, emphasizing technical solutions and risk assessment. They delved into strategies for integrating climate-responsive approaches into road design and construction, ensuring the roads are equipped to withstand future climate challenges.

Key topics included evaluating alternative approaches, implementing climate-resilient construction techniques, and enhancing operational resilience through climate-responsive asset management. By bringing together stakeholders from the public and private sectors, this seminar offers a platform for collaboration and knowledge-sharing that is vital for advancing AIIB’s strategic objectives in the road sector.

The session “Leading the Way to Global Employer of Choice: Talent and Culture Transformation” explored AIIB’s comprehensive HR Strategic Roadmap, designed to transform the talent and culture landscape by 2030.
