Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of Interior Affairs, sent a telegram of congratulations to His Beatitude, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II – Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark – on the occasion of the celebration of Christmas..it came as follows:
I am pleased to send to Your Holiness and the Christian brothers my sincere congratulations and wishes on the celebration of Christmas.. That occasion from which we derive feelings of love and affection.. Celebrating it dedicates the unique cohesion of the sons of the Egyptian nation who have proven that they are invincible or annihilated and capable of development and construction..
