Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi hosted an International Scientific-Practical Conference on “The history of development, a new period and prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan”.
The event was organized with the support of the Committee on International Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The participants got acquainted with the Cultural Research Center named after Fizuli, established by the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev.
Chairman of the Committee on International Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries, Rustambek Kurbanov, spoke about the friendly and fraternal ties, noting that these relations are highly valued at the level of the country’s leadership and also noted that state institutions of both countries, support for diasporas are essential in strengthening and developing existing relations.
Chairman of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Fuad Muradov, noted that the friendship between the two countries is eternal and that the National Leader Heydar Aliyev laid the foundation for this cooperation.
