Madbouly meets the Minister of Health to follow up on the efforts of the ambulance and health insurance agencies.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, met today with Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population; To follow up on the efforts of the Egyptian Ambulance Authority and the General Authority for Health Insurance. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed Gad, head of the Egyptian Ambulance Authority, and Dr. Mohamed Dahi, head of the Health Insurance Authority.
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly initiated the meeting, stressing the role played by the Ambulance Authority and the General Health Insurance Authority in providing health services to citizens, pointing to the necessity of continuing efforts to raise their efficiency and permanent development for them, for the benefit of citizens.
During the meeting, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar reviewed the volume of services provided by the Health Insurance Authority during the year, as the number of beneficiaries reached about 69.5 million, pointing to the development of some advanced treatment departments and services in the hospitals of the Health Insurance Authority, including IVUS and IFR services, and services Expansion and installation of peripheral artery stents, implantation of artificial arteries, blood transfusion services, albumin injections for liver patients, biological therapy injections, as well as the provision of x-ray services on the uterus and HSG tubes, and the introduction of interventional radiology services.
The minister also referred to some efforts of the Health Insurance Authority, including extending the health insurance umbrella to about 22 million Egyptian citizens who have not previously benefited from the health insurance umbrella, supporting the school feeding system for school students (2021/2022 and 2022/2023), as well as participating in health services. Provided within the 100 Million Health Initiative, the national project to eliminate waiting lists, and other services.
While the Minister of Health referred – during the meeting – to some of the ambulatory services provided by the Egyptian Ambulance Authority, as well as the proposed solutions to meet the challenges it faces, including the project to develop and raise the efficiency of obsolete ambulances, and to include the required cadres to ensure the quality of services provided by this important facility
