International Islamic Fiqh Academy Supports Scholars’ Statement on Hajj Without Permit

The International Islamic Fiqh Academy expressed its appreciation for the statement issued by the Saudi Council of Senior Scholars regarding the prohibition of attending Hajj without a permit.
The secretary-general of the Academy, Dr. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, said in a statement that the Senior Scholars’ statement is legitimate and wise and is supported by the general principles of Sharia and the universal rules of fiqh.
He emphasized that the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, along with its members and experts, fully support this statement and call on all Muslims to comply with the ruling that prohibits performing the Hajj ritual without obtaining permits from the relevant authorities in the Kingdom.
Furthermore, he urged the media, social-media outlets, mosque preachers, and scholars inside and outside the Islamic world to publish and circulate this statement, calling upon them to encourage Muslims to adhere to it while explaining the legal impact and the consequences of violating it.
