Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa discussed on Sunday 2/4/2023 with Kazakh Ambassador to Egypt Khairat Lama Sharif ways of boosting bilateral ties.
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed preparations for opening Cairo’s monumental 13th century Al Zahir Baybars Mosque, after finalizing its renovation works.
Following the meeting, Gomaa and Sharif went on an inspection tour of the mosque, in the presence of a host of officials.
Gomaa, meanwhile, said that the Mosque’s renovation came as part of the State’s keenness on resorting historical mosques throughout Egypt.
