Uzbekistan enters the Top 20 in the Open Gender Data Index

In the Open Data Watch report for 2022-2023, Uzbekistan scored 69.7 points in the Open Gender Data Index and entered the Top 20 best countries in the world for this indicator.
The index measures the availability and openness of gender data around the world. It is based on the presence of 11 indicators in 35 statistical categories.

The Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan is the authorized body for maintaining gender statistics. The Agency has created a separate department for collecting, processing and analyzing relevant data. All sections of the Agency’s website currently contain more than 180 indicators related to gender statistics in three languages in five different formats.
