FM heads to Turkey on bilateral visit

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry headed from South Africa to Turkey Friday 19/4/2024 on a bilateral visit, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.

During the visit, Shoukry is set to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and hold bilateral and expanded discussions with the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Hakan Fidan.

The official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Abu Zeid, explained that the visit comes within steps taken by Egypt and Turkey to enhance cooperation and raise the level of bilateral relations. The two sides will follow up on the steps to implement what was agreed upon during the last meeting held in Cairo. They will also discuss ways to confront challenges and crises in the regional and international arenas
