President El-Sisi Meets the Prime Minister and MSMEDA’s CEO 

 

Yesterday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister, Dr. Mousrafa Madbouly, and CEO of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA), Mr. Basil Rahmi.

Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmad Fahmy, said the meeting reviewed MSMEDA’s activities to support micro, small and medium enterprises in the various development sectors, notably through effectuating the necessary policies and laws and providing financial and non-financial services, with a view to boosting the ability of the agency-funded enterprises to generate new jobs and enhance entrepreneurship. the meeting also focused on the agency’s involvement in the various national initiatives across the republic, including “The Decent Life” initiative to develop the countryside; the national program for converting cars to run on natural gas fuel; the initiative for supporting the promising and competitive small industrial sectors in the governorates, as well as the initiative for the development of handicrafts and heritage industries.

The President gave directives to continue MSMEDA’s efforts to support and increase the size and scope of micro, small and medium enterprises, in a manner that fulfils the needs of the state’s young entrepreneurs in the private sector and contributes to unleashing their creative and investment potential, with a focus on the industrial and agricultural sectors. This comes within the framework of the comprehensive plan to deepen industrialization in Egypt and boost industrial and agricultural exports. The President also instructed to continue work toward modernizing the agency’s strategy, supporting the digital transformation process, achieving financial inclusion, and relying on the green economy, to be integral with the state’s efforts to develop the Egyptian economy and increase competitiveness.
