Now, the giant floating bookstore Logos Hope arrived on the quay of the tourist port with its crew of different nationalities on board.
The ship was received by Major General Adel Al-Ghadban, Governor of Port Said, and a number of executive leaders in the governorate and directors of directorates and associations in the governorate.
The marine ship Logos Hope is the largest book fair in the world, with a length of 132 meters and carrying 350 tourists and 400 volunteers from more than 60 different nationalities in the world. It is the largest floating library in the world and is owned by the German charitable organization. It contains more than 50 thousand addresses with the aim of spreading culture all over the world.
The ship will open its doors to visitors tomorrow, Thursday, starting from 10 in the morning until 10 in the evening, daily for a period of 20 days except for Sunday and it will receive its visitors on Friday from 3 in the afternoon until 10 in the evening; and the ship is scheduled to leave the port on January 23, continuing its journey to the port of Aqaba, He was accompanied by Engineer Amr Othman, Deputy Governor, and Major General Atef Wagdy, Secretary General of the Governorate.
The governor of Port Said made sure that all organizational and security measurements related to the welcoming of Logos and visitors to its library and its various cultural events were completed; and he pointed out that the tourist port had completed all the equipment at the highest level to receive the library’s visitors from students and reading lovers and to go out in PortSaid Governorate in the best way during this global event.
The Governor of Port Said stressed on the need to achieve the highest levels of cooperation between all executive and security authorities and to prepare daily organizational schedules during the period of docking the ship in PortSaid Port.
The governor of Port Said stated that there is continuous coordination between all the concerned authorities in PortSaid to facilitate the visitors during their movements from and to the ship’s governor; and precautionary and preventive measures will be applied during entry to the boat as well as regulating entry and exit movement to and from the boat.
Major General Adel Al-Ghadban confirmed that during the mooring of the book boat in PortSaid, musical bands will be provided throughout the day in Egypt Square as well as organizing many cultural events that are in line with the event, stressing on the importance of reflecting the civilized facade.
