President El-Sisi Meets Premier of the Chinese State Council
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Premier of the Chinese State Council Li Qiang in Beijing, China.
The Spokesman for the Presidency said the meeting focused on cooperation frameworks between Egypt and China, and aspirations to advance relations across various fields within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership that brings together the two countries. President El-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s appreciation for China’s contribution over the past years to supporting development projects in Egypt, looking forward to elevating relations and starting a new phase based on advancing efforts to localize industry, transfer technology, and benefit from the promising capabilities that Egypt possesses in this context.
The Premier of the Chinese State Council confirmed his country’s keenness to continue the momentum in Egyptian-Chinese relations, demonstrating the aspirations of the two friendly peoples for growth and prosperity. Mr. Li Qiang praised the Egyptian development experience and the achievements Egypt has made in various sectors.
The two sides discussed ways to promote joint projects being implemented between the two countries, as well as new cooperation proposals in various economic fields, especially in light of the two countries’ membership in the BRICS group. The meeting also focused on the construction, communications, tourism, food security and financial sectors, as they are promising sectors that meet the common interests of the two countries.
