Putin: Egypt is Russia’s Strategic Partner, Relations Built on Mutual Respect

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Egypt is a strategic partner of Russia and relations between the two countries are based on equality and mutual respect.

Putin’s remarks were made during an official ceremony to lay the foundation stone for a fourth reactor at Egypt’s El-Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant.

In his speech at the ceremony, vis video conference, Putin said: “A new phase has begun in the construction of the nuclear power plant in Egypt, and the project is one of the most important projects between the two countries. Its completion will contribute to the development of the Egyptian economy, strengthen the energy infrastructure, promote the development of modern industries, and create job opportunities for specialists.”
