President El-Sisi Meets Prime Minister and Officials

Yesterday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly; Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Dr. Assem El Gazzar; Minister of Trade and Industry, Eng. Ahmed Samir; Commander of the Strategic Command and Military Industrialization Supervisor, Vice Admiral Ahmed Khaled; and Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning, Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the meeting followed up on efforts made to further help the industrial sector overcome the long-standing obstacles and challenges, as per the President’s directives.

President El-Sisi was briefed on the main procedures implemented in that regard, most important of which is streamlining procedures so as to encourage existing and new industrial investment. This is in addition to upgrading the management and governance systems of industrial establishments and making further coordination efforts between authorities dealing with investors to prevent distraction and save time and effort. Furthermore, efforts are also being made to facilitate procedures for issuing industrial licenses.
