President El-Sisi Meets Prime Minister, Chairman of SCZONE

Yesterday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) Mr. Walid Gamal El-Din, and Acting Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority Mr. Amr Adel Hosni.

Spokesman for the Presidency Counsellor Dr. Ahmed Fahmy said the prime minister presented efforts to activate the work of the new government and to undertake its portfolios as well as implementing the targets included in its action plan, particularly in the economic and investment domains. This includes enhancing the investment environment, encouraging cooperation with the private sector, and enabling it to contribute actively to the overall development efforts.

President El-Sisi was briefed on the efforts of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) to attract investments in the targeted industrial sectors in the zone, as well as diversifying those investments to include all zones affiliated with the Authority. The President gave directives to offer the necessary facilitations to attract investments to the zone, so as to ensure its economic sustainability and remove administrative obstacles facing investors, stressing the central role of expanding the industrial base and its localization as a strategic objective of the State and a key path to achieve development and progress.
