Pharmacist’s body to be repatriated from Saudi Arabia once authorities allow – Minister

The Ministry of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs follows up on arrangements to repatriate the body of Egyptian pharmacist Mohamed Faisal who died Thursday while performing his work in Saudi Arabia.
Minister of Immigration Ambassador Soha Gendy explained that she received a call from the head of the Cairo Pharmacists Syndicate and a member of the Senate Dr. Muhammad Al-Sheikh, and the head of the Egyptian community in the Saudi city of Asir Dr. Hussein Kamel, who reported on the accident.
Soha Gendy said that the Ministry communicated with the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Consul General in Saudi Arabia, and the Saudi side through direct communication channels.
The minister of immigration added that the Egyptian Consulate delegates an envoy to attend the investigations with the Saudi authorities and take legal measures, including reviewing cameras, hearing witness testimony, and completing the course of investigations to identify the perpetrator. She confirms its confidence in legal procedures and that the investigation authorities in Saudi Arabia have taken all necessary measures.
Ambassador Soha noted that the pharmacist’s body will be repatriated from Saudi Arabia once authorities allow it.
