1,539 Egyptians evacuated from Sudan – Foreign Ministry

Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said that some 189 Egyptian citizens were evacuated from Sudan via air, while 446 others were evacuated via land on Tuesday 25/4/2023.

On Sunday, Egypt started evacuating its nationals from safe areas in Sudan, in coordination with the Sudanese authorities.
As many as 1,539 Egyptians have so far been repatriated from Sudan, the spokesman added in a press statement.
The spokesman noted that the Egyptian Embassy in Khartoum and the consulates in both Khartoum and Port Sudan, as well as the consular office in Wadi Halfa, are continuing their efforts around the clock to evacuate Egyptians from Sudan.
