Culture min., ICESCO head to witness ‘Cairo, the 2022 capital of Islamic culture’ celebration Saturday

Culture Minister Nivene el Kilany and Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) Salim M. AlMalik are expected to witness on Saturday the closing ceremony of the activities of the “Cairo, the 2022 capital of Islamic culture”.

The activities of the program that lasted for a whole year included 149 different cultural and artistic activities.

Dubbed “The City of a Thousand Minarets”, Cairo has been announced the Capital of Culture in the Islamic World for 2022 by the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization due to its hosting of numerous monuments.
