Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport received the first direct flight coming from Ahmedabad Airport in the State of India, with 337 passengers on board, to attend an Indian wedding ceremony that will be held in Sharm El-Sheikh during the next few days over a period of three days.

This comes within the framework of developing the wedding tourism pattern and attracting its visitors to Egypt and the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to promote the Egyptian tourist destination as a destination for weddings.

The plane was greeted by imitating water sprinkling, welcoming the passengers, guests and the newlyweds, presenting flowers and playing music, as an expression of the warm welcome.

They were also received by Major General Nabil Al-Mallah, Director of Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport, and Dr. Islam Nabil, the supervisor of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion office in South Sinai, who distributed souvenirs and promotional brochures to them to introduce them to the Egyptian tourist destination, its ingredients, products and various tourism patterns.

It is worth noting that Mr. Amr El-Kady, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, had met with representatives of the Indian Wedding Planners Federation EMF Global, one of the most important alliances that includes specialists in organizing weddings that are world-famous for their huge organization and high economic return, during the first conference of the union, which was held in Last September, with the aim of promoting wedding tourism in Egypt, which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh, with the participation of more than 150 companies working in organizing weddings, events and exhibitions from India.
