The Minister of Youth and Sports and Gamal Allam meet with the youth team to fully support them before the Africa Cup of Nations

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, paid a visit earlier this morning to the residence of the Egyptian youth team; He was greeted by Mr. Gamal Allam, President of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA). The duo held a session with the technical staff and players to confirm the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Football Association for the national team to provide all means of success to winning the Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Egypt during the months of February and March and qualifies for the World Cup.

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi called on the players to fully focus during the current period in their training, pointing to coordination with the Football Association to provide all the training needs required for them.

The Minister of Sports stressed on everyone’s support for the youth team to achieve the desired goals and results calling on the players to exert their utmost effort to raise the championship cup that is held on Egypt, especially since there is nothing to prevent winning it at all.

For his part, Gamal Allam stressed in his speech on the full support of the Football Association Board of Directors for the youth team and meeting all its needs to please the Egyptian fans, crown with the African title and qualify for the World Cup.

Allam urged the players to do their best to seize the opportunity and hold the tournament in Egypt in order to win the title and achieve the dream of playing in the World Cup.

In the same context, Captain Mahmoud Gaber, the technical director of the youth team, thanked and appreciated the Minister of Youth and Sports, the President of the Football Association and all members of the Council for their meeting with the players expressing his happiness with this great interest in the team and the cooperation, commitment and interdependence of the players in pursuit of winning the Africa Cup of Nations Championship.

Egypt’s youth team, led by Mahmoud Gaber, will meet on Tuesday at 2:45 pm Ghana’s first national team in a friendly match at Cairo International Stadium during its camp which is currently being held as part of the preparation plan for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The draw for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations resulted in Egypt falling into Group A which includes Mozambique, Senegal and Nigeria.

Egypt hosts Africa Cup of Nations which will be held at three stadiums in Cairo and Alexandria, and the Suez Canal Authority in Ismailia.
