OIC Secretary-General Receives Foreign Secretary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh

His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, received in his office on 6 February 2023, Ambassador Masud Bin Momen, Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh.
During the meeting, the Secretary-General reiterated the importance of Bangladesh for the OIC community and underscored the OIC’s strong support to the continued policy and initiatives of the Government of Bangladesh, taken within the cause of strengthening Islamic solidarity and unity.
The discussion dwelt on the bilateral relations between the OIC and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, alongside the most urgent matters of the intra-OIC cooperation agenda, with particular emphasis on the cause of Palestine, Islamophobia and safeguarding the right of women for education.
Right after the meeting, the Secretary-General witnessed the signing of Headquarters Agreement between the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on the Running of Islamic University of Technology (IUT), signed correspondingly by Ambassador Masud Bin Momen and Ambassador Askar Mussinov, OIC Assistant Secretary-General on Science Technology.
