President El-Sisi Speaks with the President of the Comoros 

Yesterday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from President of the Union of Comoros, Azali Assoumani. The call touched on the distinguished relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and consolidate them in various fields, in light of the close ties that bind the two countries and the two peoples.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said the call also touched on the situation in the African continent in light of the presidency of the Comoros of the African Union. The President affirmed Egypt’s appreciation for the presidency of the Comoros of the Union and the activity it witnessed. The two leaders discussed efforts to bring peace and security to the African continent, stressing the importance of joining efforts to enhance stability and development in the continent, and to preserve the unity and sovereignty of its countries, in a way that achieves the interests of its peoples.
