OIC Secretary-General appeals for urgent support to the victims of earthquake in Türkiye and Syria

The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E.M. Hissein Brahim Taha made an appeal to Member States and the humanitarian Institutions of the OIC and the international partners to kindly extend urgent humanitarian assistance in support to the victims of the grave earthquake that has caused many deaths in Türkiye and Syria, on 6 February 2023.

H.E. Mr Taha hopes that the sense of solidarity that has always characterized the OIC Member States and relevant Organs as well as the International community at large will help Türkiye and Syria face the ongoing humanitarian emergency and ensure the reconstruction of the destroyed homes and infrastructures.
