Dr. Ashraf Sobhi discusses “Sports law in Univeristy of Helwan”

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, participated in a session entitled “Sports Law (Problems…Ambition)”, in the presence of Dr. Kamal Darwish, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Chairman of the Physical Education Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities and former President of Zamalek Club, MP Walaa Abdel Fattah. Member of the Egyptian Parliament, Eng. Sherif El-Erian, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Federation of Modern Pentathlon, Secretary General of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, and Dr. Fathi Nada, General Captain of the Sports Professions Syndicate.

This comes within the activities of the seventeenth international conference entitled “Technological Progress Vectors for Sports Sciences in the Arab World .. Legislation .. Challenges .. Applications”, which was organized by the Faculty of Physical Education for Boys, Helwan University, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Qandil, President of Helwan University, and the sponsorship of the League of Arab States, and the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mona Fouad Attia, Acting Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Emad El-Ezzabawy, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Latif Sobhy, Rapporteur Conference, Prof. Dr. Walid Abdel Razek, Vice President of the Conference.

During his speech, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth, confirmed that the Ministry of Youth and Sports submitted a request to amend some provisions of the Sports Law after the practical implementation of the Sports Law proved beyond any doubt that there are many gaps and matters that must be worked on to amend and eliminate them.

Sobhi indicated that there is complete coordination between the Ministry, the Olympic Committee, and international sports federations and institutions in light of the work and full compliance with Egyptian laws and regulations indicating that the reason for the amendment that the Ministry sought to introduce to the current Sports Law is the desire to amend some articles only to suit the aspirations and vision of the Egyptian state to advance the sports system and attain more achievements all levels.

The conference comes in successful partnership with the General Syndicate for Sports Professions, the Universities Sports Federation and some sponsoring companies in the presence of Prof. Dr. Sobhi Hassanein, President of the Egyptian Sports Federation for Universities, Prof. Dr. Hossam Rifai, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Walid Al-Srougy, Acting Vice President for Service Affairs for society and environment development; and some of the deans of faculties, heads of departments, rapporteurs of scientific committees, members of the Physical Education Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities, representatives of the House of Representatives and the Egyptian Olympic Committee, and gentlemen heads of sports federations.

The conference aims to reach a realistic vision about the role of technological progress in solving the problems of the sports field in the Arab world, proposing legal controls to contribute to the development and advancement of sports in the Arab world in light of the rapid technological progress; in addition to linking the scientific programs in the faculties of physical education with the requirements of the labor market.

The conference deals with many axes, including the reality of sports legislation in light of the rapid technological progress, the uses of modern technology in the field of sports management, the regulations of international sports federations, and the digital development of players, legal and civil liability in the field of sports injuries, the rights of people with disabilities between legislation and application.

The conference also discusses climate and sports – applying the recommendations of the International Conference (COP 27) Egypt 2022. The practice of sports is a right for all between the constitutional provision and the Sports Law (visions and philosophy of society), mental toughness of mood and emotional intelligence.

The conference deals with many seminars and workshops, including sports law (problems – ambitions), new trends in sports science in the Arab world (vision – challenges), sports legislations and its role in developing the Arab sports movement, and the challenges of building regulations for faculties of physical education in the Arab world.

The seminars of the scientific departments are represented in a symposium on Nanotechnology Progress Vectors in the Light of Climate Change in Basic Sports Training (Basic Training Department), Legal and Civil Liability for Sports Injuries (Health Sciences), Rights of People with Disabilities between Legislation and Application, Recommendations of the International Climate Conference and Impacts on the Sports Movement International and local (administration), practicing sports is everyone’s right between the constitutional provision and sports law (vision and philosophy of society), (recreation).
