The establishment of a league for people of determination and women’s football on the sidelines of the International Forum of Football Academies

In implementation of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, the Ministry of Youth and Sports decided to hold a special football tournament for people of determination within the activities of the International Forum for Football Academies, which is organized by the Ministry in partnership with the private sector, from 4 to 10 February next At Al Nady Club Stadium in Heliopolis, Sheraton.
The age groups that will participate in the league include:
2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2012/2013, in which more than 50 European, Arab and Egyptian teams representing major clubs and academies will participate. A tourism program will also be organized to visit the landmarks of civilized Cairo.
The opening match will be held between the Capitano Egypt team against one of the European teams, provided that a number of players and stars of determination participate with them to join the two teams in the opening match.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, had held a meeting with a group of the ministry’s leaders; To follow up on the assignments announced by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, during the fourth edition of the “Able to Differently” celebration, with the participation of the Sports Federation for Mental Disabilities via video conferencing technology.
The minister discussed the executive mechanisms related to the work of memberships and the provision of use for people of determination in youth centers, youth innovation and learning centers, and youth cities in various governorates, expanding the programs and activities provided to them, paying attention to the sports championship sector, and intensifying projects concerned with discovering talented and creative people of determination in various fields.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi directed the launch of a set of initiatives during the coming days as part of the implementation of the President’s assignments for more access and integration for people of determination in various programs, with the expansion of establishing communication centers in youth centers according to geographical division, and activities of artistic and cultural hobbies for people of determination.
The meeting also touched on the preparations from now for the fifth edition of the “We Are Able to Differently” celebration, which is sponsored and honored by the President, and setting a specific timetable for presenting proposed ideas related to the next edition.
The Minister of Youth and Sports concluded his meeting with directives to create a football league for people of determination within the activities of the International Forum for Football Academies, which will start in early February, to be the first assignment at the sports level for our children of determination to be implemented under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports represented by the General Administration of Sports Tourism and the private sector.
