Spokesman: President Sisi to hold talks with Armenian president, PM Sunday

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is scheduled to meet Sunday with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The talks are expected to tackle ways of stepping up cooperation between the two countries in the various domains, especially the economic and investment ones.
They are also scheduled to probe a host of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
This was announced by Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi.
President Sisi’s visit, which is the first of its kind for an Egyptian president, comes as part of the distinguished historical ties binding the two countries, added the spokesman.
Egypt was at the forefront of the Arab countries to hold diplomatic ties with Armenia, following its independence, said the spokesman.
Egypt is also hosting a large Armenian community, the spokesman said, pointing out to its crucial role in Egypt’s history at the various political, economic and cultural levels.
