President El-Sisi Meets the Vice President of the Republic of India

Yesterday Evening, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received at his residence in New Delhi the Vice President of the Republic of India, Mr. Jagdeep Dhankhar.
The Spokesperson for the Presidency said the Indian Vice President welcomed the President’s visit to New Delhi, lauding the outstanding relations between the Egyptian and Indian peoples. He confirmed India’s keenness on supporting Egypt’s efforts to achieve comprehensive development, which witnessed significant progress over the past period. India’s Vice President also stressed his country’s interest to strengthen the partnership between the two countries in various fields, particularly in trade and investments.
President El-Sisi expressed his appreciation for visiting New Delhi. He hoped the visit would represent an additional step to further advance the special friendship relations between Egypt and India at various levels, particularly by enhancing engagement between the two friendly peoples. This shall take place in light of the shared visions of the two countries over decades and at the present time, in which the world is witnessing political and economic challenges that underline the importance of consolidating economic and trade relations between them.
