EDA participates in ICCR annual meeting in Brasilia
The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) took part in the International Cooperation on Cosmetics Regulation (ICCR) 17th annual meeting (ICCR-17).
The meeting took up the latest developments pertaining to the work of the organization’s committees and work groups.
Two EDA work groups participated in the meeting with the first concentrating on learning about strategies meant to evaluate the safety of cosmetic components and the second focusing on consumer communication mechanisms.
EDA’s participation in the event drew international applause, thus reflecting relevant international organizations’ keenness on Egypt’s participation in meetings aimed at laying down frameworks and strategies regulating trading in cosmetics and pharmaceutical products.
ICCR is a voluntary international group of cosmetics regulatory authorities from Brazil, Canada, Chinese Taipei, the European Union, Israel, Japan, Republic of Korea, and the United States who meet on an annual basis to discuss cosmetics safety and regulation, as well as enter into a constructive dialogue with relevant cosmetics industry trade associations.
