Days of Culture of Uzbekistan to be held in Kyrgyzstan this year

We have reached agreements on holding Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan this year,” President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov said in a statement to the media following talks with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his state visit.

The President of Kyrgyzstan noted that he and the head of Uzbekistan paid special attention to the prospects for the development of cultural and humanitarian ties.

“We have reached agreements on holding the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan this year, expanding cooperation in the field of tourism, education and science, healthcare, and youth.

We also exchanged views on regional and international topics. The development of friendly relations with the countries of Central Asia, maintaining stability and security in the region is constantly in the focus of attention of both Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

We noted the need to consolidate our efforts in countering today’s challenges and threats of a regional and international nature in the current difficult geopolitical situation in the world.

In general, we confirmed our firm commitment to further strengthening the Kyrgyz-Uzbek multifaceted cooperation. We have a lot of developments and plans that meet the interests of our two peoples,” Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized.
