President El-Sisi Performs Friday Prayer in El-Mosheer Mosque, Meets Armed Forces’ Commanders 

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic – Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, performed Friday prayer in El-Mosheer Tantawy Mosque in New Cairo, coinciding with Egypt and the Armed Forces’ celebrations of the 10th of Ramadan Anniversary. In attendance were Prime Minister, Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, General Mohamed Zaki, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Osama Askar, a number of senior statesmen, the commanders of the main branches of the Armed Forces, Armed Forces’ commanders, and scholars from Al Azhar and the ministry of religious endowments.

After the prayer, the President met with Armed Forces’ commanders and extended his greetings to the Armed Forces on the anniversary of the 10th of Ramadan victories. The President confirmed that the great Egyptian people appreciate the efforts and sacrifices of the heroes of the Armed Forces in defence of Egypt’s security and safety. The President confirmed that the men of the Armed Forces represent an extension of the October generation in carrying out their duties with the highest levels of dedication, devotion, loyalty and efficiency for the sake of maintaining the homeland’s security, preserving its sanctities and enhancing its path towards more stability and progress.

The meeting also focused on a number of key issues addressed across the local, regional and international levels, notably in light of the successive political and economic developments the world is witnessing, as well as Egypt’s ongoing efforts to reinforce stability and development in the region.
